certified: K-6 and 5-9 Language Arts. I am currently teaching 7th grade Literacy. I tutored 4th graders preparing them for math and writing for the FCAT test. I want to be a tutor because I have a passion for learning. As an educator I enjoy helping ans scaffolding students with differentiated instruction that will allow them to use the knowledge learned and apply it to their daily lives so that it is meaningful to them. I am a leader and strive to succeed in all I do, including touching the lives of my students and making a difference. The biggest challenge I have faced is being given a class that was both first and second grade and having to teach grade level curriculum to each. I love a challenge and successfully achieved that challenge.

I love to read and be outside. My favorite sport is baseball and I love to go see the games. I am a visual learner and like to use different types of visuals and when working with kids. I have two children of my own who I love to play board games with. I enjoy going to parks, listening to music, and going to festivals and fairs, and spending time with my kids at home.
